Nasi Tumpang, also known as Nasi Tupe (tu-pey) in its original dialect, is a traditional Malaysian heritage cuisine from Kelantan. It is believed to have been born out of necessity, as a way for people in the region to have a convenient and portable meal that could be easily carried and eaten on the go. It is also an important part of the region’s cultural identity.
